Cast, Crew & Volunteers
this production would not be possible without the men and women willing to donate their time to such an amazing cause.
Jessica Bartram
This is Jessica’s fourth year performing in The V agina Monologues and each year, it becomes nearer and dearer to her heart. To be able to share these amazing stories of such brave women and girls from all over the world is truly a blessing. These events include a lot o f hard work and preparation but to be able to work with such amazing beneficiaries and to see all of the remarkable things that they do for local domestic violence victims and their families makes every drop of sweat and tears worth it. All my love, support and prayers go out to those that need it most. Keep your head high and know that there is always someone out there to help you. You are never alone.
Rachel Hanson
Rachel Hanson is a V-Day Virgin and she is so excited to be participating in The Vagina Monologues this year! As a student at Metropolitan State University Rachel focused a lot on domestic violence and how it effects women. Outside of academia, Rachel is a survivor of sexual violence. Both of these things together make participating in this event a no-brainer. This year is particularly poignant for Rachel because it marks the fifth anniversary of leaving her abusive partner.
Outside of her V-Day activities Rachel is also passionate about working with young people in education. She works with a college readiness program in Inver Grove Heights and teaches piano lessons. She feels strongly that education is key in helping people to avoid and/or stop domestic violence. Professionally, Rachel hopes to work as a marriage and family therapist, working particularly with families who have experienced domestic violence.
Rachel would be remiss if she did not mention her amazing husband, Nathan. While it is important to have a strong sense of self , Nathan reminds her every day that she is worth being treated with respect and dignity.

Ashley Landers
Ashley first experienced V-DAY in 2006 when she observed T he Vagina Monologues at St. Cloud State University. It was the courage and grace of those women (both on stage and whose stories were told) that prompted Ashley’s V-DAY participation. In 2010 Ashley performed “My Vagina Was My Village” in the St. Paul Vagina Monologues and it changed her. The monologue based on one woman’s story highlights the extraordinary women of Bosnia and Kosovo who have experienced systematic sexual violence. As a family therapist, researcher and mentor, Ashley works with individuals and families impacted by trauma, particularly sexual abuse. Ashley’s message to this year’s audience and V-DAY community: “I am rising because I cannot stand by in silence when so many around me are suffering. I am rising to honor all of those who have been silenced. May my voice be a dedication to you.”

DoMinga Verdeja
I am not a virgin. I mean come on, I'm 30 years old. I've done this before. I guess you could say I am experienced. That's right, in 2009 and in 2010 I had the privilege of being a part of the Vagina Monologues. I am not a V-day virgin. Oh honestly, what did you think I was talking about?!?! Since then I have met the man of my dreams and become a mother to a beautiful baby girl. Being a part of V-Day in the past not only left me with many great memories and introduced me to some great women, but it taught me so many important things. I look forward to having a great time for a great cause and also sharing the laughter and tears that come along with this experience.
